As a Life & Annuity Specialist you will sell Life and Annuity products to members who contact us over the phone online and in retail branches and generate new business through multiple lead sources. This position is hybrid based on business need.


  • Sell all insurance products and services meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Compile coverage and rating information; confirm insurer’s underwriting criteria coverage and premium data
  • Provide the member with product and premium proposals that best fit their needs
  • Demonstrate initiative to develop leads and prospects by responding to referrals in a timely manner
  • Participate in sales programs designed to develop insurance prospects; maintain prospect files in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Regulatory & Compliance:
  • Follow all agency processes and procedures
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Underwriting departments to minimize error and omission exposures
  • General knowledge of insurance practices including the scope of an agent’s authority
Member Service:
  • Provide AAA Five Diamond service to all current and prospective AAA Insurance clients.
  • Educate existing and prospective clients regarding life insurance and retirement planning options available facilitating informed client decisions regarding personal family and business financial security needs
  • Establish ongoing consultative relationships with clients ensuring their life insurance and retirement planning needs are periodically reviewed
  • Maintains partnerships with Life insurance company representatives and underwriters and works as a liaison between the client and the insurer in the event of a claim
  • Support AAA corporate success by recommending AAA membership travel and other financial service products to existing and prospective clients


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Life Insurance License or necessary to obtain at time of hire
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on relationship building and customer service
  • Ability to work well within a team environment; share knowledge and help other team members as needed
  • Work with a technology and digital-first mindset
