Technical Skills:

• Excellent English language skills in editing and writing.
• Exceptional attention to detail, capable of delivering error free content.
• Preferably some editorial experience, preferably working for IT Company.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and provide sound recommendations.
• Numerate and visually literate.
• Ability to understand , and quickly adapt to new processes, best practices and changes to the style.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle competing deadlines.
• Able to perform gracefully under pressure and provide guidance on inflexible and shifting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread all the text and detect and mark up any errors or queries regarding grammar, spelling, punctuation, style or accuracy. Proofreading may be done either against an original document or blind (ie without checking against another source).
• Responsible for proofreading assigned content, whilst working within defined timelines.
• Recommend changes to edited materials directly in Microsoft Office or similar files, using “track changes” and “comments” features, to ensure recommendations are captured for action.
• Highlight any formatting, style concerns to identify appropriate corrections, either in real-time or by embedding comments.
• Identify incomplete or incorrect statements or user flows to ensure completion of quality in design documents.
• Advise and recommend quality controls to the Content Writers throughout the workflow process.

Additional Skills:

• Must be able to work in a team.
• Strong communicator (verbal and written).
