IT Chat Support Specialist – Temp Position

Job Responsibilities : IT Chat Support Specialist – Temp Position Salary : $15 per hour Company : The New School Location : Remote US

Information Technology is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our IT chat team. In this temporary position the IT Chat Specialist will communicate with customers through live chat or email to promptly answer questions solve problems and troubleshoot as well as onboard and initially oversee a group of Student IT Chat Support Assistants. This position will also be part of the interviewing and hiring process for Student IT Chat Support Assistants. In addition this position will create documentation about processes and procedures related to the IT Chat Team. The entire IT Chat team will have access to others in the IT organization who will provide the necessary knowledge and training needed to be successful in this position.
This is a remote position so access to a laptop and/or desktop computer as well as reliable access to the internet is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have customer service experience
  • Must have experience onboarding and managing student employees
  • Must be comfortable communicating directly with customers
  • Must be good at troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Must be good at documenting issues and solutions
  • Must be able to document procedures and processes for the team to follow.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a remote team via chat email etc.
