Role Purpose:-

To provide technical review support against defined procedures with some discretion over priorities of workload. Undertakes a range of technical review/support activities and resolves queries for internal/external clients. In particular, conduct technical reviews of client organization files, after each visit requiring a certification decision; client files would contain information such as : commercial agreement, assessment report, certificate. Produce reports of technical review/support work carried out.

Key Responsibilities: –

Each Technical reviewer to review pending Technical review tasks on a daily basis.

Technical Reviewers:

a) complete Technical review, for assigned jobs; when required, discuss with other Technical reviewers and pick up files for Technical reviews with a goal to ensure that set KPIs are achieved.

b) upload Technical review findings, raise Assessor feedback, raise Office actions, as appropriate,

Update raw data collation spreadsheet with visit details and Technical review findings and other necessary details.
Data filing/entry in accordance with defined procedures
Deal with queries and build relationships with internal/external clients, as appropriate
To coach other team members, as appropriate, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application
Conduct assessments, as required, to maintain necessary qualifications
Stay abreast of technical developments in own area of expertise, maintaining CPD records and producing them as required
Conduct all activities in line with internal procedures, contractual requirements, cost structures and budget constraints.

Knowledge :

Knowledge of audit principles, practices and techniques – Knowledge of generic management systems audit principles, practices and techniques, as specified in respective standard sufficient to understand a certification audit report.
Knowledge of specific management system standards/normative documents –
Knowledge of the management system standard or other normative documents being specified for certification sufficient to make a decision on the basis of a certification audit report.
Knowledge of LRMS processes – Knowledge of a certification body’s processes sufficient to determine if expectations of the LRMS have been fulfilled on the basis of the information submitted for review.
Knowledge of client’s business sector – Knowledge of the terminology, practices and processes common to a client’s business sector sufficient to understand an audit report in the context of the management system standard or other normative document.

General understanding of:

Quality management system specific

Basic concepts of quality, continuous improvement, cost of quality, customer satisfaction, problem solving, variation, quality tools.

Environmental management system specific

Relevant laws and regulatory requirements applicable to EMS assessments,
techniques for identification of environmental aspects and associated impacts, including knowledge of techniques for significance assessments,
air emissions,
water and effluent management,
waste management, including both hazardous and non-hazardous waste,
use, management and contamination of land,
other nuisances including noise, smoke, odour, visual impact, vibrations

Health and safety management system specific

Legislative requirements related to health and safety, developments in H&S legislation, Civil liability and other laws relevant to H& S
Management of OHS hazards and risks using methodologies such as HAZOP techniques, Fault / Event Tree analysis, FMECA etc,
Identification, classification, reporting and measurement of physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and occupational exposures risks,
Safety requirements in workplace, safety during maintenance, working in confined spaces, permit to work systems, fire safety, storage and transportation of flammable, toxic and corrosive substances materials,
chemical processes safety,
Use of personal protective equipment,
Occupational health & hygiene,
Work equipment including system reliability, plant and machinery safety, integrity of materials and components and pressure systems.
